Medical Radiation Technologist (X-Ray Technologist) – Full-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT / X-Ray Technologist) to join a leading radiology service provider in the Windsor-Essex region. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Operations Manager and Chief Technologist, delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients of all ages in a professional, safe, and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures independently in accordance with departmental and organizational policies, protocols, and standards.
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect for individual needs and cultural differences.
Clearly explain procedures to patients in a calm, professional, and reassuring manner (without providing diagnostic interpretations).
Ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation to support proper clinical assessment.
Maintain compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards, including IPAC and WHMIS requirements.
Collaborate effectively with MRTs, sonographers, radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Respond appropriately to patient inquiries and concerns in accordance with organizational policies.
Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Uphold professional standards and accountability as required by regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Current registration and good standing with the CMRITO (College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario).
Certified Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) designation.
Current CPR certification.
Professional liability insurance (as required).
Strong patient relations and communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to work effectively independently and within an interdisciplinary team.
Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous learning.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly wage: $38.00 – $47.00 (based on experience)
Annual salary equivalent: $74,100.00 – $91,650.00
Signing bonus: $30,000 (paid over 3 years – $10,000 annually)
