Assistant Wine & Beer Manager (NOC 60020)

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Wine & Beer Manager to support the daily operations of our Wine & Beer department. This role involves assisting with sales, merchandising, inventory control, staff support, and compliance The ideal candidate is a strong team leader with a passion for wine and beer, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities:

  • Support the Wine & Beer Manager in the day-to-day operations of the department, including sales, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Assist with supervising, training, and supporting department staff to ensure excellent customer service and compliance with company standards.
  • Help maintain inventory levels, complete inventory counts, and ensure accurate product pricing and department organization.
  • Support the creation of attractive displays, promotions, and sampling programs in accordance with LCBO and AGCO guidelines.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with scheduling, timecard review, and other administrative duties using Dayforce and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Help ensure health and safety standards, WHMIS requirements, and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained within the department.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, vendors, and team members to support store operations and a positive customer experience.
  • Support community engagement initiatives and help promote a positive image for the store within the community.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail, or a related field is an asset
  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a retail or produce environment preferred, with excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent organizational, leadership and time management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for scheduling and inventory management tasks.
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time (40 hours/week)

Positions: 1

Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)

Start Date: July 6, 2026

Closing Date: June 12, 2026

Transportation: Fresh Market Foods will cover a one-time round-trip travel cost for the successful candidate to our location and back to their permanent residence at the end of the work period. (This does not include the cost for a full trailer to move (household goods, trailers, or large personal belongings etc.).

Housing: Below-market value employee housing may be available, subject to availability.
