1.0 FTE Teacher

Courses include: Blended High School Teacher; courses to be assigned based on the strengths of the applicant.

Our Blended Learning Model

High School courses in PSSD Colony Schools are delivered through a blended model combining  online and in-person instruction. Some students are in-person / in front of the teacher, while some students are attending virtually from other colony locations.

● Blended Delivery: Lessons are facilitated via Google Meet hardware, utilizing  Chromebooks and large-screen television monitors at each site.

● Interactive Environment: Both the teacher and students across various sites can  see and interact with one another in real-time.

● Digital Tools: Instruction is managed through Google Classroom and Google  Calendar, with dedicated software for real-time screen monitoring and student support.

● Collaborative Supervision: While the Blended Teacher manages instruction, local  principals are responsible for on-site student supervision and conduct.

Key Qualifications & Skills

The successful candidate must be capable of managing the technical and interpersonal  requirements of a multi-site classroom.

● Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the Google Workspace for Education suite (Meet,  Classroom, Calendar) and comfortable using hardware like networked scanners.              ● Collaborative: Ability to work as a team with local principals and Resource Teachers  to coordinate student progress and individualized adaptations.

● Relationships: A commitment to fostering strong student-teacher connections  through digital interactions and mandatory on-site visits (minimum of twice per  semester).

● Cultural Competency: An awareness of and sensitivity to the unique cultural  backgrounds of colony schools.
