We are looking for a passionate Fishing and Hunting Expert to lead our Fishing & Hunting department!
If you live for the outdoors, know your gear inside out, and love helping fellow anglers and hunters find exactly what they need, this is your opportunity to join the Canadian Tire Thunder Bay team.
About the Role:
You will be the go-to expert for our fishing and hunting customers. You’ll run the department, provide outstanding product advice, build customer loyalty, and help drive sales in one of the most exciting categories in our store.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Fishing & Hunting department – merchandise, inventory, and presentation
- Offer expert advice on rods, reels, lures, firearms, ammunition, archery, apparel, accessories, and more
- Help customers gear up for their next adventure on Lake Superior, local rivers, crown land, or beyond
- Stay current on fishing/hunting regulations, trends, and new products
- Deliver legendary customer service with a genuine passion for the outdoors
- Train and support fellow team members on product knowledge
- Work collaboratively with the store team to hit sales targets
What You Bring:
- Deep, hands-on expertise in fishing and hunting (this is a must – we want the real deal!)
- Strong product knowledge across major brands carried by Canadian Tire
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a department
- PAL (Possession and Acquisition Licence) is a must
- Retail experience is preferred but not required if you have the right outdoor expertise

- $20 – $25 per hour (based on experience)
