Job Summary:
The Rehabilitation Student will be responsible for taking reasonable care to protect the health and safety of self, and others, by practicing and promoting safe work habits, using personal protective equipment, and reporting unsafe situations or conditions to your manager.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in high school, college, or university required.
- Must be returning to school in the fall.
- Healthcare related field an asset.
- Available for the full summer period (May – August).
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of an interdisciplinary team
Job Duties:
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Rehabilitation Department which includes: Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, and Clerk-Typists.
- Assist with direct patient care, primarily with an adult population of both inpatients and outpatients.
- General rehabilitation departmental duties, including but not limited to cleaning gym equipment, putting away laundry, and supporting team members with assigned tasks relevant to departmental operations, including front desk administrative support.
- Assist with cleaning, organizing, and tracking of client mobility equipment, such as walkers and wheelchairs.
Salary:Â Â $20.00 per hour.
