The purpose of the program is to provide a safe and supportive residential environment for individuals who are at risk of or have experienced exploitation and trafficking. The program is designed to meet the unique needs of survivors and high-risk youth by offering trauma-informed care, cultural support, and individualized services to promote healing, empowerment, and independence. Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Clinical Coordinator is the clinical lead for the live-in-treatment team and non-bed-based community support. The primary functions of the coordinator are to provide assessment, intake, and transitional aftercare services for individuals referred into the program, and to create awareness and offer education to at risk individuals as a prevention strategy. To accomplish this, the Clinical Coordinator must be knowledgeable of best practices and be able to deliver services in a culturally safe and wholistic manner. Finally, the coordinator will travel across the Robinson Superior Treaty area (District of Thunder Bay) to promote the program and ensure services reach children, youth, and families, in the 13 First Nations we serve.
