Auto Body Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive body repair techniques, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. Experience working in a dealership environment is a plus, along with the ability to handle heavy lifting and perform precise repairs efficiently.

Duties

Repair and refinish vehicle bodies following manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to remove dents, replace panels, and perform frame straightening
Assess vehicle damage accurately to determine necessary repairs and parts replacement
Perform sanding, grinding, welding, and painting as needed to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
Collaborate with other technicians and staff to complete repairs within designated timeframes
Document repair procedures and communicate progress with supervisors and customers as required
Experience

Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and body structures
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
Experience with automotive repair processes including dent removal, panel replacement, welding, and refinishing
Mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
