The RN is accountable to provide quality nursing care to patients and residents including complex patient populations whose outcomes are not predictable.  The RN promotes health through assessments, planning, providing coordinated care and treatment with the ultimate goal of achieving the best possible patient/resident outcomes. The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing care across multiple settings, including our Acute Care Department, Emergency Department, and Long-Term Care Home.

 

Qualifications & Experience

·         Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program

·         Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

·         Current RN certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario

·         Above average skills in physical assessments

·         Current CPR certification

·         Knowledge of basic arrhythmias

·         Competencies in initiating IV therapy

·         Proficient in computer applications

·         High level of initiative and self-direction

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative RN/RPN/PSW team

·         Strong organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

·         Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

·         Excellent attendance record
