Morgan Fuels, a large fuel distribution company operating throughout Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba, has an employment opportunity for a full-time Human Resources Administrator to start mid to late February. The start date can be negotiated. This opportunity can be based out of Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, or Kenora.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for overseeing all facets of the HR function including, but not limited to:

–        Recruitment and retention.

–        Performance management record keeping.

–        Required government payroll related reporting.

–        Administering the benefit programs.

–        Researching labour market information.

–        Processing payroll.

–        Develop and update Human Resources related policies.

–        Provide input and reports to Senior Management team.

–        Maintain and operate an online time management system.

–        Oversee onboarding procedures.

–        Oversee training assignments and record keeping.

Preferred qualifications include but are not limited to:

–        Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or Business Management.

–        5 years’ experience working in a Human Resources setting.

–        Professional HR designation (CHRP or CHRL) or in process of obtaining.

–        Knowledge and understanding of Manitoba and Ontario employment standards acts, health & safety acts, Human Rights Commission and other relevant government agencies.

–        Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.

–        Proficient in Sage 50/Simply Accounting software.

–        Previous payroll experience is an asset; however, training can be provided.

–        Proficiency in keyboarding with the ability to type 50 w.p.m.

–        Ability to be cross trained in various areas of administration.

–        High level of accuracy and analytical skills with attention to detail.

–        Valid driver’s license and own transportation.

The successful candidate will be required to submit a Criminal Records Check.
