Location: Bridges Dryden & Area Adult Learning Centre
Position Type: Part time: $20/hr 20/w average
About the Role
Bridges is seeking a positive, supportive, and learner-focused GET SET Learning Mentor to help adult learners achieve their education, employment, and personal goals.
The Learning Mentor works alongside instructors to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support in the classroom, helping learners build confidence, overcome barriers, and stay engaged in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Support adult learners in the classroom and learning environment.
- Encourage attendance, participation, and goal achievement.
- Provide one-on-one mentoring and motivation.
- Assist learners with assignments, technology, and learning resources.
- Work collaboratively with instructors to support learner success.
- Help connect learners with appropriate community resources and supports.
- Maintain a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with adults, learners, or community programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of adult education or employment programs is an asset.
