As our Office Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of our operation. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, helping people, and having variety in their workday. Your contribution will be noticed, appreciated and important to the success of our team.
What You’ll Do
This is much more than a traditional reception position. You’ll be involved in many areas of the business and become an important connection between our customers, field staff, management and suppliers.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Providing friendly, professional service to customers by phone, email and in person
-
Coordinating customer requests, service calls and daily scheduling

Communicating with operators and field staff throughout the day to help keep operations organized

-
Maintaining inventory and purchasing records

-
Providing general administrative support to management and the operations team
-
Helping maintain a professional, clean, organized and welcoming office environment
Because we are a small team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about many different parts of the business rather than being limited to one repetitive administrative function.
Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate:
-
Has strong organizational and time-management skills
-
Is dependable, punctual and takes pride in their work
-
Communicates professionally and confidently with customers and coworkers
-

-
Has strong computer, email and data-entry skills (must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, GMail & Google Workspace)
-
Is detail-oriented and committed to accuracy
-
Can prioritize tasks and adapt when the day’s schedule changes

Can handle confidential business and customer information professionally
-
Enjoys being part of a small, collaborative team
-
Brings a positive, solutions-focused attitude to the workplace.
Previous experience in office administration, customer service, scheduling, invoicing, bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payables, payroll, purchasing or a similar role would be an asset.
Experience in the waste, transportation, construction, industrial or mining sectors is not required. We’re happy to teach the right person about our industry and operations.
What We Offer
We believe great employees should feel valued and have the opportunity to build a career – not simply fill a position.
-
Competitive wage based on experience
-
Full benefits package and employer-matched pension plan after 3 months of employment
-
Training and professional development
-
Stable, valued employment with a local family-owned company
-
Convenient weekday, daytime hours
