Responsibilities
- Perform repairs to the highway, including but not limited to, debris removal, pothole repairs, installing small signs, washing bridges, grass cutting, etc.
- Safely operate and maintain a variety of equipment and vehicles in accordance with contract and safety requirements
- Complete accurate daily documentation
- Respond to call‑in requirements during accidents and highway closures, assisting with traffic control set‑up and take‑down at work zones and incident scenes
- Follow safe work procedures, wear required PPE, and report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues to supervision
- Other Labour duties as assigned
Qualifications
- G license with clean abstract
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Willingness to travel during the workday and be on call
- DZ/AZ license will be considered an asset
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with general equipment maintenance and operation of small tools and heavy equipment considered an asset
- Previous experience in construction or highway maintenance will be considered an asset
- Basic computer proficiency will be considered an asset
Compensation Data
Targeting $23.38-26.38 per hour
