Payroll Administrator

SkyCare Air Ambulance currently has an opening on our team for a full-time Payroll Administrator at our Sioux Lookout base. SkyCare is a growing and dynamic Air Ambulance/Air Charter Service based in Sioux Lookout, Ontario that provides exceptional air charter and medevac services across Canada and the United States with a focus on Ontario and Manitoba.

The Payroll Administrator reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This position will be responsible for administering all aspects of Payroll function within the Finance Department. The position of Payroll Administrator consists of but is not limited to compiling and posting wages and deductions, preparing payroll, and government remittance and preparation and issuing of ROE’s and T4’s. SkyCare currently employs over 140 staff at four locations across Ontario and Manitoba. On the job training will be provided. A standard work week will be 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
– Min. Grade 12 or equivalent; certificate/Diploma in Bookkeeping and/or Accounting preferred.
– Experience in Bookkeeping and Payroll an asset
– Knowledge of principles and practices of accounting an asset
– Excellent computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Suite
– Experience with Sage or similar accounting software an asset
– Aattention to detail and high accuracy with data entry
– Ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
– Knowledge of Privacy Legislation
– Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation: Hourly or salary commensurate with education and experience.
