Coast Mountain Geological
Seeking a responsible individual for short term summertime work. The successful candidate will cut and organize core under a Project Geologist’s supervision.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
-maintain a safe work environment
-cutting drill core using a diamond core saw
-working outdoors for up to 10 hours per day, lifting and moving core boxes up to 50lbs every 15-20 minutes throughout the day
Requirements:
-Valid driver’s license
-Ability to drive self to Dryden and Ignace* with own vehicle
-Physically capable of manual labour; exertion for up to 10 hours a day and capable of lifting 50lbs in outdoor setting
-Ability to work individually and with a team to complete daily tasks according to the work schedule
-Ability to work with a variable schedule as work is available
Schedule:
-Relatively flexible schedule and hours with the potential for weekend work in both Dryden and Ignace. Could be Monday-Friday if preferred.
-Up to 5 days a week, some weeks will be part time work depending on work available**
-4-10 hour days
*miles to Ignace will be paid
**work schedule and hours per week will depend on core available to cut. A rough Monday-Friday 8am-5pm schedule will be set but some flexibility with hours is preferred
